I stayed here with my family of 12 members with kids, its very neat & clean place, especially operated by its owner directly & her family also staying in the same premises. also well secured with polite & helpful staff, so highly recommended for families & groups with girls, located exactly in madikeri central town, so it will be comfortable for the coorg tourists to visit all the visiting spots from this homestay, also you can order for veg & non veg breakfast & dinner on extra charges

No mineral water,.. No bed coffee or tea available. The beds in the room looked like ones that were in d museum.. Very old.. Looks as if she bought them in second hands.. Not a clean bedspread.. It looked years old.. She ws a very greedy person.. Not a good choice..

We, 13 of us stayed in Balkis Home Stay and found it as an excellent place. We took all 4 rooms in the first floor for our use and it was very comfortable and we found that the cost of stay also reasonable. Morning breakfast is complimentary, breakfast served was very homely and we enjoyed it. Owner of this home stay and her employees are very polite and helpful. They helped us in providing suggestions to visit places and arranged the trip to Mandalpatti, a place one should not miss. Overall the stay at Balkis Home Stay was very memorable and we enjoyed it.

We stayed here during the first weekend of January 2016. The Hostess is very nice ...... That is about all that is nice about the place. Facilities are very basic - hard beds,no proper furniture in room, poor upkeep in common areas. The Owner's driver thinks he is the boss ... he decides who parks his car where ...There was a power outage and a TV outage .... all this in a space of 36 hours. Best avoided if possible

for 3 adults and one child they provided a very small and cramped room, tried hard to make extra money. breakfast was provided from road shop and very very limited. not worth for the money we paid. strongly not recommended.
